Jessie Oliver
Ask Jessie to belt out a music theatre number accompanied by jazz hands and fan kicks and she'll feel right home. She can also train your pooch in Basic Obedience but that's beside the point...The Big Hoo-Haa is her first taste of Impro comedy and since joining the team Jessie hasn't seemed to make the correlation between her debut performance and the fact that she has been rocking herself to sleep in the foetal position for many weeks now.
Whilst growing up in Perth she completed Contemporary Dance at WAAPA (yes she is one of those hippies who likes to express themselves through interpretive dance) before moving to Sydney in 2002. She studied at Brent Street School of Performing Arts (think Johnny Young Talent Time meets So You Think You Can Dance wannabes) before moving on to acting at Actors Centre Australia. Cabaret shows and musicals are her forte and you may have seen her in such shows as Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey), Chicago (Hunyak) and Cabaret (Rosie). Jessie moved to Melbourne in 2007 and has been taking it easy for a few years. Now she is back in full swing. Her next musical role will be 'Cassie' in Centerstage's Production of A Chorus Line and is also in the process of writing her own cabaret show.
Jessie also gets the occasional chin hair.
