Michelle Nussey

Michelle Nussey was a regular performer for 6 years in The Big HOO-HAA! Perth before throwing it all in and moving to Melbourne. It took a couple of years of feeling homesick to realize the ‘home’ she felt sick with missing was actually the warm cocoon that is The Big HOO-HAA! Having already bought a cat in Melbourne and wanting the best of both worlds, Nussey gathered together her fellow ex-pats and they began The Big HOO-HAA! right here in Melbourne.

Nussey is also part of the perfoming ensemble of both Impro Melbourne and Melbourne Playback Theatre Company, and was crowned Theatresports National Champion last year. She has been involved in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival for the past 4 years as a performer, producer, director and writer on shows such as The Green Crusaders, Luke & Wyatt: We Have a Certificate and Late Nite Impro. In her ten years as a public and corporate performer Nussey has toured nationally and over to Edinburgh, been involved in countless short films and TVCs and role-played for entities including St John Ambulance, The WA Law Society, Curtin University Psychology dept and the Department of Justice.

Day by day, Nussey teaches impro, drama and screen acting and can be found on the odd Sunday reading stories to kids at the NGV.
