Is The Big HOO-HAA! different every week?
Yes. Every show is completely different because all scenes are improvised live. No scripts are reused, and no performance is ever repeated, making every Friday night unique.
Is audience participation required?
Yes - but not in a scary way. We’ll ask for suggestions throughout the show and you can choose to call out whatever you like. We use those suggestions to inspire the scenes. You also get to choose who wins each game by voting. No one will make you get on stage and make a fool of yourself, that’s the casts job.
Is improv comedy actually funny if it’s made up on the spot?
Yes — when performed by experienced comedians, improv is fast, clever and often surprising. The humour comes from spontaneity, character choices, and the performers reacting in real time.
Do I need to know anything about improv before coming?
No prior knowledge is needed. The show is designed for first-time audiences, regular comedy fans, and everyone in between.
