MICF 2014: HOO-HAA! Danger Hour

The Big HOO-HAA! Melbourne returns with a brand new, action-packed comedy show filled with the most daring, risky and dangerous improvisation to have ever leapt across the stage. Nothing like this has been seen on a stage in the Comedy Festival and it may never again!

Each night two teams risk life and limb, throwing fate to the wind, by playing the most extreme and sadistic impro games ever created. Whether it's Bucket of Death, Slap to Talk or Mousetrap, Australia’s wittiest and most hilarious improvisers battle it out, armed with only audience suggestions and their comedy chops, creating slick, clever and hilarious scenes faster than you can say, “THAT’S A REAL KNIFE!”

The Big HOO-HAA! is Melbourne's best weekly impro comedy show.

Originally created in Perth by impro guru Sam Longley, since July 2010 we've been wowing audiences with our special blend of improvised comedy, storytelling, singing and one-liners; all designed to make you howl with laughter (or groan, in the case of the one-liners).

Two teams (the Hearts and the Bones) battle it out against each other armed with only audience suggestions and a handful of props as they leave no song unsung, no joke undelivered and no pun unpunished in their mad dash for the punchline.

Unless otherwise noted we're on every Thursday at 8pm at the Portland Hotel in Melbourne's CBD. A great date idea!

What People Are Saying...

Definitely recommended – we didn’t have any expectations and had a really great time, and hell, I don’t find that many things funny.
This really was a cracking night of flat out improvised comedy.
...improvised comedy at its absolute funniest: minimal pretension, maximum straight for the throat hilarity.
