Lights, camera, action… your favourite movies are getting a rewrite!

This May, The Big HOO-HAA! Melbourne is going Hollywood and putting a spin on your cinematic favourites.

Their new show Alan Smithee celebrates the best films that cinema offers… by completely changing everything about them.

Each night, we’ll find an audience member who has never seen one of the world’s most famous movies. Our hilarious performers will then improvise up a page-one rewrite on that flick based on our audience member’s out-there description of the movie. How wrong could we get it…?

Was Taxi Driver really a ribald car chase comedy? Could A Clockwork Orange have been about fruit farmers? Maybe Reservoir Dogs was really a toe-tapping Disney musical. Come along this May to see Melbourne’s funniest improvisers call cut on the classics.
