Zak lior

Zak is a long-time improviser and proud member of The Big HOO-HAA! family, having performed with the company since 2013 across both Perth and Melbourne. With more than a decade of experience in fast-paced improvised comedy, Zak has become a seasoned ensemble performer known for his commitment, adaptability and quietly sharp comedic instincts.

Over the years, he has helped bring thousands of completely unscripted scenes to life as part of one of Australia’s longest-running weekly improv comedy institutions, embracing the chaos, spontaneity and occasional complete theatrical collapse that comes with live improv.

Alongside The Big HOO-HAA!, Zak performs regularly in Murder Village: An Improvised Whodunnit, the acclaimed improvised murder mystery phenomenon created by David Massingham. He is also a former cast member of Impromptunes, further showcasing his versatility across musical improv, narrative performance and ensemble comedy.

Whether solving fictional murders, spontaneously bursting into song, or diving headfirst into scenes with absolutely no plan whatsoever, Zak brings experience, generosity and calm comedic precision to every performance.
